The Link Farms is a family-owned and operated venture founded in 2016 by Maria Link, who was just 22 years old at the time. Originally established in the vibrant community of Naples, Florida, the farm has since found its forever home in the serene countryside of central North Carolina.
Driven by a deep passion for sustainable living and a heartfelt connection to the land and animals she cares for, Maria envisioned a self-sufficient homestead that reflects her values. As the farm grew, so did her dedication to the unique breeds she lovingly raises—breeds that represent both beauty and purpose.
In early 2020, that dedication culminated in the creation of the Link Farms BLACK GOLD Breeding Program. Focused on breed preservation, the program upholds the highest standards in selecting breeding candidates based on temperament, conformation, and health.
At the heart of the BLACK GOLD program is a mission to educate, inspire, and share the love for these remarkable breeds—ensuring they continue to thrive for generations to come.
